Ganapati bappa moriya! !!!!!

Yeah! U may already hear ppl shouting this! Ganesh Chaturti is very popular festival in India! Specially in maharashtra! I ve seen ppl celebrating ganeshchaturti in Mumbai as well as in Karnataka. This festival is more of a party than religious ! I ve seen ppl celebrating it like “Sarvajanik Ganapati” it means they worship lord ganesha’s idol in an area or a street so tat the public can come . its more like a temple for a few days. A group of ppl celebrate it in almost each and every street. Well, unfortunately I am a part of one such group. Wat they do is collect as much as funds possible from that locality and then spend it lavishly. The main aim is to get the biggest possible idol available! Wat crap man! I mean, wen we seriously want to worship, why not a small idol! Why a 12 to 15 feet tall one???? Its madness! Wat they aim is to get more fame than the group in the next road! Tats it! and its not their money too! Apart from all this, wat all happens in the night in that place is un imaginable! Name the stuff and u get it! be it sutta, daru and at last playing cards! Can u imagine! The festival is for 2 days, but they keep the idol for like many days. May be 3, 5, 7,9 or 11. and on the day of “visarjan”( it means submerging the idol in any river or any water source) they take out a huge procession! Full wit drums, dance, fireworks and wat not! Well, I m sorry to say this , but this is wat really happening! I hope what all I spoke is not controversial! Anyways, I don care! Democratic country we live in! freedom of speech everyone has! Jai Hind!!!

I would like to tell a few things about myself.
Well, I am a Chartered Accountant aspirant, and currently pursuing my internship. The word chartered accountancy itself makes people their eyes and mouth wide open! I seriously don’t know why! I think it is not at all difficult to be a CA. well this is what I feel. Dunno bout you. i still dunno when did I decide to take up this course. I’d jus finished my 12th wit 68 % and had joined a university college for graduation in commerce. I was like a useless piece, which had nothing in mind, except for loafing around, spending money unnecessarily thinking I don’t have to do anything except for sitting on my dads’ seat in his shop.

Once my classes of B.com started, I met new ppl in my class. When I spoke to them, I realized that life is just not what I was doing. Most of them were focused in life, ambitious. And I felt so ashamed of doing nothing. I was feeling so guilty, and that made me take up CA. To be frank I took up CA just for the sake of it! Just to achieve a lil fame like, “oh! Gaurav! U doing CA?? Tats great!!!” :-P I know that sounds sick! :-D
But that’s not the reason anymore! I am proud that I am into one of the best professional studies!
I discontinued the last blog I was writing as I wanted to tell something else. Today was the first day of my evening college. When I had applied for the college, I never knew what it would be like. I just wanted attendance and joined a local evening college, never even thought of attending it. But today as work got over early I made up my mind to go and attend the classes. I stepped into the college and looked for someone whom I could speak too. I found many ppl there busy with their own talk. Some laughing loudly, some shouting at top of their voices,a few ragging the juniors, some speakin over their phone and wat not! I just looked around for someone to ask wat time the classes were about to begin and he said scheduled time was 6 pm. I saw my watch and it was already 6:20. I then looked for the notice board of the college, which was in its worst possible state with a torn timetable stuck on it. Thankfully Monday’s (i.e. today’s) timetable was visible, and the scheduled time according to it was 5:40! Beat that! I searched for my class room and finally got into it! with everyone staring at me as though I was an alien (maybe I look like one :P) everyone looking at me and saying that, that classroom was final year b.com. I said, “I know” and the next question was “are u in final year?” when I said yeah! I dunno wat they were thinking, whether I looked too young or too old!! Anyways, I dint care, then, finally, the classes begun at 6:30 with one interesting subject law, but tat lecture made me think I shall never study law in my life ! and then a stats class! The best part u know wat??? There are no bells!!!!! Heheheheh, jab chahe aao, jab chache jao! Wow! Interesting college na????
